Iconic Erotic Cinema

So I finally got around to watching two of the more "iconic" erotic films this past week. And I have mixed reviews. The first flick I finally wathced was Last Tango in Paris. I've started watching that movie a bunch of times, but I always get bored in the middle. This time was no exception, but I stuck it out to the end. I don't think I "get it". I'm pretty sure there is a point to the movie, but I have no idea what it is. And the ending was just confusing to me. I guess French cinema is lost on me.

The other movie I caught was sex, lies, and videotape. Despite the fact that I am not a big Steven Soderberg fan in general, I actually did enjoy this movie. The pacing was good and I found the characters compelling. Although I did realize that a younger James Spader does seem to bear quite a resembalance to Jeremy London. It was hard not to look at him and think "Griffin, from Party of Five". All in all if you haven't seen it, I'd reccomend sex, lies, and videotape. Not so much Last Tango in Paris.
